This international competition finalist for a forum in the ghost town of a former cold war Soviet secret naval base on the Baltic Sea coast of Latvia is a contextual project. It makes a place providing an urban oasis with an urban orchard, an ascending place of a stair square above the descending space of a grand hypostyle, and as an urban oasis defies typical contemporary obsessions with dropped object-making.
